RESUMEN: Objetivo: Caracterizar la morbilidad sentida por autoreporte de signos y síntomas y su relación con el ausentismo. Métodos: Estudio descriptivo con revisión de información secundaria. Se realizó la aplicación de la encuesta de morbilidad sentida por autoreporte de signos y síntomas y el análisis del ausentismo por causa médica para comparar los sistemas corporales. Resultados: Los empleados perciben como el sistema más afectado el psicosomático con 394 eventos, 24% y según el registro de ausentismo de la empresa el sistema más afectado es el osteomuscular con 971 días, 43% y 126 eventos, 28%. De los 202 empleados que reportaron incapacidades durante el periodo estudiado, el 48% corresponden a los auxiliares con 213 eventos, el 23% los asesores empresariales con 103 eventos; el personal femenino predomina en el número de ausencias con 345 eventos, 78%. La principal causa de ausentismo laboral es la enfermedad general, 97%. Se encontró existencia de asociación estadísticamente significativa entre el síntoma gastrointestinal y el ausentismo de 1 a 2 días. (p<0.005). Conclusión: En el autoreporte de signos y síntomas, el sistema psicosomático es el más reportado, a diferencia de lo identificado en las causas de ausentismo que es el sistema osteomuscular. El diagnóstico de diarrea y gastroenteritis es el más representativo del sistema gastrointestinal y tienen una fuerte relación estadística con el ausentismo y se podría explicar por causas de tipo social, clima laboral, entre otros, pero no se ha estudiado el problema en su causalidad. |

Results: Employees perceive as the most affected system the psychosomatic with 394 events, 24% and according to the company's absenteeism record the most affected system is the musculoskeletal with 971 days, 43% and 126 events, 28%. Of the 202 employees who reported disabilities during the period studied, 48% corresponded to assistants with 213 events, 23% to business advisors with 103 events; female personnel predominated in the number of absences with 345 events, 78%. The main cause of absenteeism is general illness, 97%. A statistically significant association was found between gastrointestinal symptom and absenteeism of 1 to 2 days. (p<0.005). Conclusion: In the self-report of signs and symptoms, the psychosomatic system is the most reported, unlike what was identified in the causes of absenteeism, which is the musculoskeletal system.
