RESUMEN: este artículo muestra la relación moda y belleza presente en el discurso de la moda en Medellín entre 1930 y 1960, desde una óptica positiva y moderna. Además, presenta la visión de la Iglesia Católica en la cual se evidenció su interés por limitar las ideas modernas que comenzaban a influir especialmente entre las mujeres en una sociedad que se debatía entre esta tendencia y la tradición. Como fuente primaria para la elaboración de este ensayo, se analizaron artículos y anuncios publicitarios de periódicos y revistas publicados en Medellín entre 1930 y 1960, como Letras y Encajes, Sábado, Raza, El Colombiano, El Heraldo de Antioquia, Gloria, Cromos, El Pueblo, El Heraldo Católico y El Obrero Católico. Como recurso tecnológico para el análisis de los artículos, se usó el software SATPI diseñado por el Grupo de Comunicación, Periodismo y Sociedad de la Universidad de Antioquia. |
