The diagnostic approach should be sequential, first with non-invasive laboratory methods, progressing to endoscopic studies with biopsy in those individuals for whom reaching a diagnosis is difficult. |

La presentación puede ser aguda o crónica, siendo esta última la que presenta mayor impacto en la morbilidad y la calidad de vida de los pacientes.
