The values obtained in the study prove to be useful as reference in the evaluation of patients older than 60 years of age. |

Métodos: Estudio prospectivo con 101 pacientes entre 60 y 90 años, realizado con un electrodo de captación tipo barra marca Cadwell que se ubicó detrás del maléolo lateral, se estimuló 12 cm proximal al punto de captación. Se utilizó la prueba de análisis de varianza ANOVA para las comparaciones de amplitudes entre grupos. Resultados: Se obtuvieron 202 SNAP del nervio sural, con una latencia pico promedio de 3.2 ms, latencia a la base promedio de 2.6 ms, amplitud pico-pico promedio de 15.2 µV y velocidad promedio 45.7 m/s. Conclusión: Fue posible obtener el SNAP del nervio sural en todos los pacientes mayores de 60 años y sin polineuropatía periférica evaluados.
