Mientras la diversidad en la Bahía Turbo varió entre 0,77 en septiembre y 2,22 noviembre, en Bahía El Uno, los valores fluctuaron entre 1,14 en noviembre y 1,95 en septiembre. La mayoría de las especies son frecuentes en las raíces de mangle de la región caribe y poseen un carácter eurihalino.

La mayoría de las especies son frecuentes en las raíces de mangle de la región caribe y poseen un carácter eurihalino.ABSTRACT: Four sampling journeys were performed in order to find out about the salinity and the macroinvertebrate fauna features associated with Rhizophora mangle roots in three spots across the Turbo and El Uno Bays between September 2004 and February 2005. It was found that salinity values changed significantly over the time in a range of variation from 2 to 32 PSU. 26 macroinvertebrate species were quantified in Turbo Bay; similarly, 28 macroinvertebrate species were found in El Uno Bay. Diversity in Turbo Bay varied between 0.77 in September and 2.22 in November whereas diversity values shifted from 1.95 in September from 1.14 in November in El Uno Bay.
