RESUMEN : El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la motivación académica y el perfil temporal en estudiantes universitarios en época de pandemia por COVID-19. Participaron 100 universitarios antioqueños con edades entre 17 y 40 años (M:22,57 y DS:4.6) completaron la encuesta sociodemográfica, el Inventario de Perspectiva Temporal abreviado y la Escala de Motivación Académica. Los resultados arrojaron una correlación significativa positiva entre la perspectiva de tiempo futura y las 3 subescalas de Motivación Intrínseca (r: 0.521, r: 0.400 y r: 0.377). La PT Futura tuvo correlación con todas las escalas de motivación, mientras que Presente Hedonista no tuvo correlación con ninguna. Pasado Positivo tuvo correlación positiva con todas las escalas, pero de ningún tipo con amotivación. Presente Fatalista sólo tuvo correlación negativa con las 3 subescalas de mayor representatividad en la muestra: MI al conocimiento, MI al logro y Motivación Extrínseca Regulación Identificada. Esto indica que PT y MA tienen una estrecha relación, también que la investigación de PT es un campo por explorar en este contexto y que la motivación extrínseca e intrínseca no son tan opuestas. Se discuten posibles cambios en las dinámicas post pandemia, se plantean algunas investigaciones futuras y limitantes del estudio. |

Results showed a positive significant correlation between Future Time Perspective and the 3 subscales of Intrinsic Motivation (r: 0.521, r: 0.400 and r: 0.377). Future TP had correlation with all motivation scales, while Present Hedonistic had no correlation with any of them. Past Positive had a positive correlation with all scales, but no correlation with amotivation. Present Fatalistic Present only had a negative correlation with the 3 most representative subscales in the sample: MI to knowledge, MI to achievement, and Extrinsic Motivation Identified Regulation. This indicates that Time Perspective and Academic Motivation have a close relationship, also that TP research is a field to be explored in this context and that extrinsic and intrinsic motivation are not so opposite.
