RESUMEN: Este trabajo pretende reconstruir las posibles relaciones existentes entre paz y democracia abordando la problemática sobre qué forma de democracia se corresponde idóneamente a la formación de una cultura de paz. Para tal efecto, se reconstruyen las visiones generales de paz y democracia para descartar las visiones minimalistas o negativas de ambas, planteando una correspondencia normativa entre paz positiva y democracia sustancial. Posteriormente, se argumentará a favor del modelo democrático deliberativo, como aquél que mejor se adapta a las exigencias de formación en ciudadanía y cultura de paz en los ordenamientos internos. Finalmente, se esbozarán algunos elementos clave a tener en cuenta en lo relativo a la formación de una ciudadanía democrática anclada en los valores de una cultura de paz global. |

To this end, the broadly views of peace and democracy are reconstructed to criticize either minimalist or negative visions, suggesting a normative relationship between positive peace and substantive democracy. Later we will argue in favor of the deliberative democratic model as the one that best fits the requirements of citizen education and culture of peace in the internal systems.
