RESUMEN: Este informe de prácticas de trabajo social presenta los resultados del proyecto “Mujeres rurales, sanadoras del territorio” desarrollado en la vereda El Cocuyo, perteneciente al cañón del Melcocho, llevado a cabo desde el instituto de cultura de El Carmen de Viboral y la unidad de patrimonio, con el objetivo de promover la apropiación de saberes en torno a la medicina tradicional, a través de la sistematización y la creación de herramientas comunicacionales que permitieran la difusión de estos conocimientos como patrimonio cultural inmaterial del territorio. Entendiendo la medicina tradicional desde el uso de plantas medicinales y partería, temas desarrollados dentro del ejercicio y del cual se recopila una serie de datos que nutren un herbario realizado con las mujeres de la comunidad y el capítulo en la cartilla “Camino de la vereda”, generando reflexiones acerca de los retos a los que se enfrenta el territorio en cuanto a la salvaguarda de estos saberes, reconociendo las transformaciones territoriales y sociales que ha tenido el cañón en consecuencia del auge turístico en la zona. Así pues, el informe da cuenta del trabajo social en el campo de la gestión patrimonial y cultural, presentando estos como campos importantes de la intervención, reconociendo la pertinencia de cuestionar la incidencia en estos temas desde el quehacer profesional. |

Understanding traditional medicine from the use of medicinal plants and midwifery, topics developed within the exercise and from which a series of data is collected that nourish a herbarium carried out with the women of the community and the chapter in the booklet "Camino de la vereda", generating reflections on the challenges faced by the territory in terms of safeguarding this knowledge, recognizing the territorial and social transformations that the canyon has undergone as a result of the tourist boom in the area.
