RESUMEN : En el presente trabajo de grado se realizó un diagnóstico socioambiental del humedal Vegas de la Calleja, ubicado en la comuna El Porvenir del Municipio de Rionegro, Colombia. El propósito fue identificar los principales aspectos socioambientales y los factores que lo afectan, involucrando a los actores locales e institucionales y recopilando información sobre el humedal desde diversos ángulos. El diagnóstico se desarrolló siguiendo una metodología de investigación mixta, combinando métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Se llevaron a cabo entrevistas a actores clave, tales como la autoridad ambiental CORNARE, la Secretaría de Hábitat del municipio de Rionegro, la Junta de Acción comunal del sector Vegas de la calleja y residentes locales. También se revisaron informes técnicos y documentos académicos relacionados con los humedales del oriente antioqueño, además de una triangulación de la información con expertos en el tema de humedales en la región. Las entrevistas y observaciones realizadas permitieron conocer la percepción que tienen los actores locales sobre el humedal. En general, se encontró que este es valorado por su belleza natural y sus servicios ecosistémicos. Sin embargo, también se identificaron algunas problemáticas que surgen de la contaminación y la falta de gestión adecuada. |

The purpose was to identify the main aspects of the ecosystem and the factors that affect it, involving local and institutional actors, as well as compiling information from diverse angles regarding the wetland. The diagnosis was conducted following a mixed research methodology, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Interviews with key actors were conducted, such as the environmental authority CORNARE, the Secretaría de Habitat of the Rionegro municipality, the community action board of the Vegas de la Calleja neighborhood and local residents. Also, technical reports and academic documents related to the Oriente Antioqueño wetlands were revised, while a triangulation of the information was carried out with experts on the subject of wetlands in the region. The interviews and observations conducted helped identify the local actors’ perception about the wetland. In general, outcomes showed that it is valued for its natural beauty and ecosystemic services.
