RESUMEN : Este proyecto tuvo como objetivo construir una herramienta que contribuyera a mejorar el control, planeación y ejecución de las actividades de la unidad de Alumbrado de EPM, mediante la creación y exposición de tableros de control, construidos a través de la aplicación IBM Cognos Analytics y EAM Maximo. Estos tableros sirven para dar seguimiento a varias de las actividades desarrolladas en la unidad de alumbrado público, entregando información consolidada en línea, con el fin de mejorar el servicio y la oportunidad en la toma de decisiones, apoyados en datos. Se desarrollaron tableros en IBM Cognos con reportes asociados que relacionan atributos propios del proceso. También se generó un tablero para el seguimiento de los ANS (Acuerdos de Nivel de Servicio) de los proyectos, en las actividades de contratistas y de gestión propia de EPM, con el objetivo de mejorar y controlar el proceso. Se entrega a la unidad una serie de tableros para la toma de decisiones oportuna, fácil de actualizar, alineados con las herramientas tecnológicas de la organización y con las actividades operativas y misionales de la unidad de alumbrado de EPM. |

The solution involved creating and implementing control dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics and EAM Maximo, which were later migrated to Microsoft Power BI. The project focused on developing dashboards for monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in public lighting projects, covering both the design and execution phases. These dashboards incorporate key indicators such as remaining time for SLA compliance, daily incoming requests, and current design estimations, enabling EPM to monitor service agreement compliance more efficiently and accurately. The implementation process involved overcoming significant technical challenges, including database access issues and the need to create custom data relationships. The project also included a successful migration from Cognos to Power BI, adapting to EPM's evolving technological needs. This transition required mastering new query languages and data modeling techniques. Comprehensive user training and detailed technical documentation were provided to ensure effective adoption and long-term sustainability of the implemented system.
