La investigación analiza la influencia del catolicismo y el conservadurismo en la construcción de la heteronormatividad en Santa Rosa de Osos, un municipio con fuerte tradición católica, donde la iglesia ha jugado un papel central en la vida social y política, imponiendo normas de género y sexualidad rígidas que afectan a la población LGBTIQ+. El estudio de enfoque cualitativo e interpretativo busca comprender estas dinámicas de poder a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a diversos actores, incluyendo miembros del colectivo Santa Queer y adultos mayores. Los hallazgos revelan que el establecimiento de normas estrictas por la iglesia y la tradición conservadora sobre los roles de género y la sexualidad han generado discriminación y falta de reconocimiento hacia las personas con orientaciones sexuales e identidades de género diversas. Sin embargo, también se evidencia la emergencia del colectivo Santa Queer como espacio de resistencia y apoyo mutuo, el cual promueve la visibilidad y lucha por la igualdad. Finalmente, se destaca la importancia de la educación y las políticas públicas para promover la inclusión y el respeto. |

Finalmente, se destaca la importancia de la educación y las políticas públicas para promover la inclusión y el respeto.The research analyses the influence of Catholicism and conservatism in the construction of heteronormativity in Santa Rosa de Osos, a municipality with a strong Catholic tradition, where the church has played a central role in social and political life, imposing rigid gender and sexuality norms that affect the LGBTIQ+ population. The study, with a qualitative and interpretive approach, seeks to understand these power dynamics through semi-structured interviews with diverse actors, including members of the Santa Queer collective and elderly. The findings reveal that the establishment of strict norms by the church and the conservative tradition on gender roles and sexuality have generated discrimination and lack of acknowledgement towards people with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities. However, the emergence of the Santa Queer collective as a space of resistance and mutual support, which promotes visibility and the struggle for equality, is also evident.
