El presente artículo analiza cómo el Hip Hop ha sido utilizado como una herramienta para la construcción de identidad y memoria en la Comuna 2 de Medellín entre los años 2010 y 2015. El objetivo principal de este escrito es comprender el papel que juega este movimiento cultural en la manera en que los habitantes de la zona nororiental de Medellín construyen, preservan y transforman su identidad y memoria colectiva, en una zona de la ciudad marcada por la violencia. A partir del análisis hermenéutico de canciones de Hip Hop creadas por jóvenes de la Comuna 2 en la época señalada, se busca comprender cómo este movimiento urbano contribuye a la construcción de identidad y memoria dentro de este territorio. Los resultados de esta investigación indican que el Hip Hop en la Comuna 2 entre los años 2010 y 2015 sirvió como una herramienta de transformación social. A través de las letras de las canciones de rap, los jóvenes en la Comuna 2, reafirman su identidad y al mismo tiempo, crean un espacio de memoria colectiva. Se establece el Hip Hop como un movimiento cultural que ha sido apropiado por los jóvenes de la zona para reconfigurar su identidad y dar visibilidad a sus vivencias, fortaleciendo los lazos comunitarios y promoviendo la reflexión sobre las luchas sociales desde su narrativa. Además, se resalta la importancia de reconocer estos procesos como parte fundamental de la memoria histórica y cultural del territorio. |

The main objective of this paper is to understand the role played by this cultural movement in the way in which the inhabitants of the northeastern area of Medellín construct, preserve and transform their identity and collective memory, in an area of the city marked by violence. Based on the hermeneutic analysis of Hip Hop songs created by young people from Comuna 2 during the aforementioned period, we seek to understand how this urban movement contributes to the construction of identity and memory within this territory. The results of this research indicate that Hip Hop in Comuna 2 between the years 2010 and 2015 served as a tool for social transformation. Through the lyrics of rap songs, young people in Comuna 2, reaffirm their identity and at the same time, create a space of collective memory. Hip Hop is established as a cultural movement that has been appropriated by young people in the area to reconfigure their identity and give visibility to their experiences, strengthening community ties and promoting reflection on social struggles from their narrative.
