description RESUMEN: La transición entre los grados quinto y sexto trae a la vida de los/as niños/as un gran número de cambios en un periodo muy corto, y ante esto, aparecen emociones y sentimientos que son fundamentales para la asimilación de este proceso. Esta investigación se interesó por la predominancia de algunas emociones y sentimientos en el momento del tránsito entre un grado y el otro. Fue una investigación de corte cualitativa, teniendo como método a la Investigación Biográfico-Narrativa, en la que participaron quince estudiantes, diez del grado quinto y cinco del grado sexto, quienes por medio de diversas formas de expresión dan una muestra subjetiva de cómo las emociones florecen al pensar en la promoción a la secundaria.
