description RESUMEN: Las nuevas configuraciones y dinámicas sociales, han generado que los niños se presentan hoy con nuevos saberes, nuevas preguntas, nuevas demandas y que puedan acceder a multiplicidad de información, entre la cual se encuentra la Sexualidad. Así, surge la necesidad de comprender las representaciones que construyen los padres respecto a la sexualidad infantil. Por ello esta investigación se realizó con 11 padres, madres y cuidadores de niños de primera infancia de algunas zonas de Medellín a través de un grupo focal y de entrevistas biográficas, con el objetivo comprender, mediante el enfoque biográfico narrativo sus representaciones frente a la sexualidad infantil, a fin de generar una reflexión pedagógica sobre la educación sexual. Entre los resultados, se halló que las representaciones de los padres, madres y cuidadores están atravesadas por las transmisiones que recibieron en su infancia con relación a la sexualidad; con lo que han tejido frente a la sexualidad infantil y la educación sexual; y las respuestas que generan frente a las preguntas y manifestaciones sexuales de los niños. Así, concluimos que las representaciones de los padres no son totalmente estáticas pues comienzan a moverse y a fluir a través de nuevos referentes y en la búsqueda de respuestas y alternativas con las cuales puedan acompañar y brindar otras respuestas a los niños. También, a través de la reflexión que nuestro quehacer como maestras, se realizó una reflexión pedagógica como parte de los resultados de esta investigación.

Thus, the need arises to understand what representations parents construct regarding child sexuality. Therefore, this research was carried out with 11 parents and caregivers of early childhood children in some areas of Medellin through a focus group and biographical interviews, with the aim of understanding, through a biographical narrative approach, their representations of child sexuality, in order to generate a pedagogical reflection on sex education. Among the results, it was found that the representations of parents and caregivers are crossed by the transmissions they received in their childhood in relation to sexuality; with what they have woven in front of child sexuality and sexual education; and the answers they generate in front of the questions and sexual manifestations of children. Thus, we conclude that the parents'; representations are not totally static because they begin to move and flow through new references and in the search for answers and alternatives with which they can accompany and provide other answers to the children.
