RESUMEN: Este informe es una recopilación de la experiencia de práctica de Trabajo Social realizada en Cornare, donde se llevó a cabo el proyecto de intervención “Raíces de Eucalyptus” con el fin de promover la capacidad de participación y autogestión en las comunidades de las Áreas Protegidas que se encuentran ejecutando proyectos en el marco del Presupuesto Participativo durante el año 2023. El proyecto se enmarca en los procesos formativos del Esquema de Fortalecimiento Sociocomunitario y Organizativo y los concursos de Presupuesto Participativo a través del cual las organizaciones comunitarias (Juntas de Acción Comunal y Acueductos Veredales o Multiveredales) presentan proyectos orientados a la implementación de los planes de manejo de las Áreas Protegidas. Estas estrategias reconocen a las comunidades como actores partícipes en los procesos de conservación, sin embargo, no las incluye en los espacios de toma de decisiones. Hablar de gobernanza les ha posibilitado resignificar la forma en que conciben la participación y organizarse para demandar nuevas formas donde metodológicamente puedan plantearse otros escenarios que visibilicen sus voces y experiencias, manifestando intereses colectivos que les permitan habitar en armonía su territorio, lo que representa una verdadera sostenibilidad. |

The project is connected with the formative processes of the Socio-community and Organizational Strengthening Scheme and the participatory budget competitions through which community organizations (Community Action Boards and rural Villages or Multi-Villages Aqueducts) present projects related to the implementation of management plans for protected areas. These strategies recognize communities as active participants in conservation processes, but do not include them in decision-making environments.
