RESUMEN: El proyecto de monografía titulado El Arte Textil en la formación profesional de Licenciados en Artes Plásticas explora la pertinencia del estudio del Arte Textil en cuanto a sus usos y posibilidades en la contemporaneidad mediante una revisión documental, con el fin de formular un aporte al campo de la educación artística. La indagación comienza con el cuestionamiento del poco abordaje que actualmente se les da a las artes textiles en los programas de pregrado de Artes o Educación en Artes Plásticas y Visuales en Medellín, a pesar de las posibilidades narrativas, técnicas y pedagógicas que históricamente ha tenido, y que la propia autora del proyecto ha podido experimentar por medio de su accionar desde las prácticas textiles como prácticas artísticas en diferentes contextos culturales de la ciudad. Como metodología para la aproximación a esta pregunta, se realiza una revisión documental por medio de la consulta y posterior análisis de artículos y productos de investigación universitaria en los que se ha tenido en cuenta alguno o varios de los tres conceptos clave de la investigación: Arte Textil, Formación en Educación Artes Plásticas y Maneras de Hacer, como insumos para la redacción de un artículo de revisión de tipo descriptivo por medio de la argumentación crítica de los resultados encontrados. |

The inquiry begins by questioning the limited approach that is currently given to Textile Arts in the undergraduate programs of Arts or Education in Plastic and Visual Arts in Medellín, despite the narrative, technical and pedagogical possibilities that it has historically had and that the author of the project herself has been able to experience through her actions from textile practices as artistic practices in different cultural contexts of the city.
