Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo general, comprender de qué manera el Arte Popular Oral se vincula con el área de Educación Artística en las Instituciones Educativas Rurales que se encuentran bajo el modelo Escuela Nueva. Para alcanzar dicho objetivo se implementó el método de investigación cualitativo, donde se tuvo la participación prolongada y organizada, de docentes y directivos docentes que tienen relación en el campo de investigación, mediante la recolección de datos a partir de entrevistas, la observación de guías, y algunos documentos que se contemplan como fuentes bibliográficas. Finalmente, esta investigación logramos comprender que las Artes Populares Orales, están inmersas en la escuela, desde una articulación de actividades aplicadas en las guías de aprendizaje, yendo más allá del reconocimiento de lo cultural, el desarrollo social y las experiencias que se derivan al ser partícipes de las actividades que involucran la creatividad, la imaginación y la capacidad de reconocer el otro y lo otro, con una mirada más sensible para el fortalecimiento de su ser. Palabras clave: arte, arte oral, cultura, educación artística, educando, escuela nueva.ABSTRACT: In this research project, the topic of Oral Folk Art was approached from a school ethnographic approach, facilitating observation, description and analysis; in order to draw conclusions about how Popular Orality is seen in the Rural School, taking into account the perspective of teachers from their experience in training and their links with art. This work had as a general objective, to understand how Oral Popular Art is linked to the area of Art Education in Rural Educational Institutions that are under the Escuela Nueva model. In order to reach this objective, the qualitative research method was implemented, with the prolonged and organized participation of teachers and teachers' directors who are related to the research field, through the collection of data from interviews, the observation of guides, and some documents that are contemplated as bibliographic sources. Finally, this research managed to understand that the Popular Oral Arts are immersed in the school, from an articulation of activities applied in the learning guides, going beyond the recognition of the cultural, the social development and the experiences that are derived from being participants in activities that involve creativity, imagination and the ability to recognize the other and the other, with a more sensitive look for the strengthening of their being.
