Resumen: El presente texto trata del concepto de catarsis aristotélico y la discusión que ha girado en torno al mismo. El concepto de catarsis en la obra de Aristóteles es muy oscuro, existe una enorme falta en la propuesta aristotélica y existe una múltiple cantidad de interpretaciones que giran alrededor del mismo concepto que vale la pena analizar, pensar y debatir. Sobre todo quiero llamar la atención de una definición de catarsis cognitiva que considero de un valor muy importante. Para ello pretendo analizar los pasajes aristotélicos y el lugar dónde aparece la catarsis. Además de ello hago un abordaje de los distintos tipos de catarsis y propuestas que han surgido con el paso del tiempo. Lo que permite volver a pensar y expresar las distintas interpretaciones que ha tenido lugar la discusión sobre la catarsis. Finalmente quiero defender la propuesta de una catarsis cognitiva, aquella que por medio de la expresión teatral nos enseña distintos aspecto de la vida humano y sobre uno mismo. |

Above all, I want to draw attention to a definition of cognitive catharsis that I consider to be of very important value. To do this I intend to analyze the Aristotelian passages and the place where catharsis appears. In addition, I address the different types of catharsis and proposals that have emerged over time. This allows us to think again and express the different interpretations that the discussion on catharsis has taken place.
