RESUMEN: Teniendo como marco de referencia el trasfondo ideológico y las condiciones existentes en el Bajo Cauca antioqueño, (frontera entre Antioquia y la costa Caribe), este artículo pretende mostrar la forma como los visitadores, funcionarios y pobladores veían estos territorios heterogéneos y con gran diversidad cultural, lo que nos proporciona un retrato de aquello que se loaba y valoraba ó se establecía como ideal desde la sociedad mayor, y la actitud colectiva frente a ciertos desórdenes morales y la represión por parte de autoridades locales y regionales. |
