RESUMEN : Esta memoria de grado propone un recorrido entre la conceptualización y la creación artística a partir de mi pregunta, como artista, por el poder. En un primer momento, reflexiono acerca de los conceptos que considero deben construirse y deconstruirse para reconocerse -como sujetos- en un sistema político, recalcando la importancia de estas denominaciones, pues su desuso nos ubica en una crisis de representatividad, en un país con un pasado aterrador y un futuro que no se ve muy diferente.Así, indago sobre los archivos audiovisuales de discursos políticos, intentando encontrar en ellos la respuesta y el remedio a la sensación de abandono político que permea la sociedad colombiana, tras cada periodo electoral y coyuntura mundial. La edición del archivo audiovisual se convierte en la manifestación más poderosa de este proceso, explotando y expropiando los significados que, fuera de contexto, desafían la historia oficial de Colombia. En resumen, mi obra configura discursos políticos en escenarios que evidencian el poder, desconfigurando sus procesos emocionales, verbales y gestuales, para devolver el poder a aquellos que lo han perdido. Al trasladar estas acciones al escenario artístico por medio de instalaciones, busco estimular la reflexión y señalar la importancia de promover decisiones conscientes, proponiendo un cambio en la percepción y participación política. |

Firstly, I reflect upon the concepts I consider should be built and deconstructed, in order to recognize each other, as subjects, in a political system. Making an effort to emphasize the importance of these denominations, giving that its little to no use, put us into a representativity crisis, within a country with a terrifying past and a bleak future. Thus, I dig into the audiovisual archives of political speeches, trying to find within them the answer and cure to the feeling of political abandonment that permeates Colombian society, after each electoral period and worldwide juncture. Editing the audiovisual archive becomes the most powerful manifestation of this whole process, exploiting and expropriating the meanings that, out of context, challenge the official history of Colombia. In summary, my work configures political speeches in scenarios that evidenciate power, unconfiguring its emotional process’, verbally and gesturally, to bring back the power to those who’ve lost it.
