Análisis de Redes en Colombia : expansión e irrupción en el campo global

ABSTRACT: This article offer an overview of the situation and development of network analysis in Colombia from both a bibliographic point of view and a description of researchers and visible academic groups. The argumentation uses two types of methodologies: first, a bibliographical analysis with some scientometric tools, and secondly, a qualitative analysis, which uses a short interview applied to expert researchers in the selected national level through the snowball technique. These two approaches have been complemented with traces in information systems available on Colciencias (Scienti-GrupLacs) and some web pages. Also, the bibliographic research offer an analysis of the general uses of the term networks in the literature published in Scopus magazines, the journal Social Networks and the journal Redes.
