Estas problematizaciones se postulan para reconocer el desenvolvimiento de este paradigma en la investigación teatral, el cual ha afectado su expansión, su naturaleza y su relación con otros campos del conocimiento.ABSTARCT: This article is a contextual approach to the influence of positivism in the field of theatre research. It begins with the characterization of this paradigm in social sciences, proceeding then to a problematization of its effects on theatre research, such as the dichotomies created between the fields of dramatic knowledge, the advocacy for universality and validation of knowledge, the distance imposed between the researcher and its object of study and the geopolitics of knowledge and control.
