El método elegido para esta búsqueda fue la etnografía . La búsqueda de estos elementos es importante para registrar manifestaciones culturales materiales e inmateriales de los pueblos que habitan la región. Algunos de los elementos culturales registrados fueron tomados para ser observados y problematizados desde una perspectiva sociológica y en relación con el tratamiento dado por la esfera institucional al patrimonio cultural, principalmente inmaterial.

The main objective was to track elements that represent the live culture of this part of Caribbean as a region of the country that shares environmental and historical conditions. The method choosen for this search was ethnography. The search for these elements is important to record material and inmaterial cultural manifestations of the peoples living in the region.
