RESUMEN: La propiedad intelectual constituye el objeto de protección de un cuerpo normativo más o menos internacional que comprende las obras del intelecto y de la creación humana, las cuales, a su vez, son parte del objeto de estudio de la bibliotecología. El propósito de esta indagación es explorar el desarrollo de los fundamentos de la propiedad intelectual, describiendo cómo a lo largo de la historia se ha justificado la institucionalización de dicha ideología, así como las críticas que ha recibido y que contribuyen a develar aún más su racionalidad. La razón por la cual se propone este estudio desde un proceso formativo bibliotecológico es que, desde ciertas perspectivas, esta disciplina persigue unos propósitos socio-humanísticos cuya realización se disipa en las cortapisas que los dispositivos instaurados desde aquellas lógicas le imponen en la práctica, reduciéndose así su labor a la acción de un cuerpo logístico y técnico que no tiene nada qué disentir. En este sentido, se propone describir y analizar los fundamentos ideológicos de la propiedad intelectual localizados a través de una revisión de la literatura y empleando el método histórico-lógico con el propósito de crear los insumos y las comprensiones para un debate ulterior. |

The purpose of this research is to explore the development of the foundations of intellectual property, by describing how the institutionalization of such ideology has been justified throughout history as well as the critics to it, which contributes to exposing its rationality even more. The reason for this study to derive from a Library Science’s formative process, is that, from a given perspective, this discipline pursues certain social and humanistic purposes whose implementation vanishes when facing the obstacles that some mechanisms disposed from those logics impose to the practice of librarianship, reducing its action to that of a logistical and technical body with nothing to dissent.
