RESUMEN: La agricultura es uno de los pilares más importantes en la economía de la región, por esto resulta conveniente analizar este sector desde una perspectiva contable para conocer la incidencia que tiene la contabilidad de gestión en el desarrollo de esta actividad. Para ello, se realiza un análisis administrativo con el fin de determinar la participación y el papel que desempeñan las figuras administrativas y contables en la implementación de esta rama; adicionalmente, se evalúa el conocimiento de las compañías acerca de la contabilidad de gestión y la manera en que la aplican. Finalmente, se identifican los factores internos y externos que inciden en la operación de las compañías, y que pueden limitar el aprovechamiento de su capacidad instalada. Para analizar la aplicación e identificación de los aspectos mencionados, se ejecutó el presente estudio a través de una investigación cualitativa, realizada por medio de entrevistas en algunas compañías agrícolas del municipio de Jardín Antioquia. |

For this purpose, an administrative analysis is carried out in order to determine the participation and the role played by administrative and accounting figures in the implementation of this branch; additionally, the knowledge of the companies about management accounting and the way in which they apply it is evaluated. Finally, the internal and external factors that affect the operation of the companies, and that may limit the use of their capacity, are identified.
