El trepe es un término colombiano referente al proceso de transformación de la expresión de género. Si bien esta práctica no está condicionada ni por la orientación sexual ni por la identidad de género de la persona, si se construye a partir de su subjetividad frente a los espectros de la corporalidad y el género. Su relación con la comunicación, específicamente, en el caso del transformismo, ha sido abordada, principalmente, a partir del análisis de los discursos mediáticos. Sin embargo, los estudios culturales permiten comprender estos aspectos con mayor cercanía y profundidad. Tomar mi cuerpo como instrumento de comunicación me permitió identificar el fenómeno de la generización y los componentes del trepe que se conjugan en las interacciones sociales frente al género, que se dan cuando se lleva a cabo esta práctica. |

From the climbed body, the artefactual and discursive components of trepe as a communicative practice were analyzed. The trepe is a Colombian term referring to the process of transformation of gender expression. Although this practice is not conditioned either by sexual orientation or by the gender identity of the person, if it is constructed from their subjectivity in front of the spectres of corporality and gender. Its relationship with communication, specifically in the case of transformism, has been approached mainly from the analysis of media discourses. However, cultural studies allow us to understand these aspects more closely and deeply.
