El marco teórico abarca conceptos clave como optimización, productividad y técnicas como el diagrama de Pareto, el diagrama de Ishikawa y la simulación de escenarios. La metodología utilizada incluyó: diagnóstico inicial, identificación e implementación de herramientas, validación de las mejoras, documentación de procesos y presentación de resultados. Se realizó un análisis detallado del flujo de trabajo actual y se modelaron escenarios de trabajo para evaluar la viabilidad de las soluciones en el puesto de Hospitalización, considerando variaciones en la cantidad de facturadores. Se propusieron soluciones para optimizar el cierre diario de facturas, escogiendo así uno de los escenarios propuestos según los recursos del Hospital. Después de implementar el escenario los resultados mostraron una reducción significativa del 28.4% en los tiempos de facturación de Hospitalización teniendo 3 facturadores, lo cual muestra una mejora significativa en la gestión de recursos y en la reducción de tiempos de espera para los pacientes. Las conclusiones destacan la importancia de herramientas de ingeniería industrial para dar diagnósticos. Se ofrecen recomendaciones para futuras investigaciones y la continuidad de los procesos de mejora, para seguir optimizando el área de facturación y garantizar un servicio de calidad en el hospital. |

The practice managed to identify significant inefficiencies as bottlenecks in closing invoices due to high volumes of outflows and areas for improvement to implement tools that reduce billing time. The theoretical framework covers key concepts such as optimization, productivity and techniques such as Pareto diagram, Ishikawa diagram and scenario simulation. The methodology used included: initial diagnosis, identification and implementation of tools, validation of improvements, process documentation and presentation of results. A detailed analysis of the current workflow was carried out and work scenarios were modelled to evaluate the feasibility of solutions at the Hospitalization station, considering variations in the number of billing agents. Solutions were proposed to optimize the daily closure of invoices, thus choosing one of the scenarios proposed according to the resources of the hospital. After implementing the scenario, results showed a significant 28.4% reduction in billing times for Hospitalization with 3 billing agents. This shows a significant improvement in the management of resources and in the reduction of waiting times for patients. The conclusions highlight the importance of industrial engineering tools for diagnosis.
