RESUMEN: Debido a la incipiente investigación en el pregrado de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad de Antioquia, se trazó como objetivo diseñar e implementar un modelo, que de manera sistemática, interrelacionada y con orientación al cliente, permita iniciar estudiantes de Ingeniería Industrial en procesos de investigación científica, actuando como coproductores de su propia formación. Bajo análisis sistémico y haciendo un símil con un proceso productivo, otra de las directrices de diseño fue trascender del enfoque investigativo tipo Push hacia el Pull . La gestión por procesos, aplicada al ámbito investigativo, fue la metodología utilizada, en la cual se siguieron las etapas: misión, modelo de procesos, descripción, documentación, validación y elaboración final. Como resultado, se desarrolló un modelo que cumple los criterios predefinidos y está integrado por los procesos misionales: oferta de plazas, selección, motivación hacia la investigación, formación de aprendices, selección de intereses, profundización conceptual y procedimental. Este artículo ofrece el diseño completo y la implementación de los cuatro primeros procesos, logrando principalmente: mejor direccionamiento, continuidad de estudiantes, satisfacción de directivos, cooperación entre docentes, enfoque proactivo y satisfacción de estudiantes sobre variables de desempeño de los procesos. Se provee información y elementos metodológicos que sirven de guía para demás entidades académicas que deseen fortalecer la investigación en el pregrado. |

The objective of this model is to introduce the students in scientific research processes where students act as co-producers of their own learning. Using systemic analysis and making an analogy with a manufacturing process, we propose to change a "Push research model" for an "Pull research model". We apply a methodology of processes management to the investigative field, so we follow these stages: mission, process model, description, documentation, validation and finalization. As a result, our model is composed of these missional processes: call for places, selection, motivation towards research, apprenticeship training, selection of interests, conceptual understanding and procedural. This article presents the full design and the implementation of the first four missional processes, achieving mainly: better process addressing, low desertion rates, director satisfaction, cooperation between teachers, proactive approach and student's satisfaction on performance variables of processes.
