RESUMEN: Problema: En el sistema de salud colombiano, los planes de salud pública municipales se implementan en cada territorio, a través del plan de intervenciones colectivas, que se desarrolla con prácticas educativas realizadas por talento humano profesional; sin embargo, se desconocen los significados que estos sujetos le otorgan a esta práctica en el campo de la salud pública. Objetivo: Comprender los significados de las prácticas de educación en el campo de la salud pública, realizadas por profesionales vinculados al plan de intervenciones colectivas en Villavicencio, Meta. Método: Investigación cualitativa, con interpretación de la realidad desde un estudio de caso, en el que se emplearon las herramientas de observación participante y entrevistas en profundidad. El análisis de información fue iterativo entre la reflexividad, codificación y categorización de los datos. Resultados: Las vivencias de los profesionales, los visibiliza como educadores cuyas prácticas de educación en el campo de la salud pública oscilan entre la corriente tradicional y crítica. Conclusiones: En la práctica educativa los educadores interactúan desde la justicia social a través del reconocimiento de los educandos, contribuyendo a la construcción de comunidades más saludables en contextos de injusticia social. |

Objective: Understand the meanings of education practices in the field of public health, carried out by professionals linked to the collective intervention plan in Villavicencio, Meta. Method: Qualitative research, with interpretation of reality from a case study, in which the tools of participant observation and in-depth interviews were intrinsically used. The data analysis was iterative between reflexivity, coding and categorization of the data. Results: The experiences of professionals make them visible as educators whose educational practices in the field of public health oscillate between the traditional and critical current.
