RESUMEN: La tesis que se defiende en el presente texto es que el sujeto de la cultura y del conocimiento es, para Paul Feyerabend, una red de relaciones entre el sujeto y su cultura o entre él y su colectividad científica. Esto no implica un determinismo cultural o colectivo, pues en su trabajo filosófico hay una idea de un individuo libre, con posibilidades de cambiar el mundo en el que está inmerso. Sin embargo, Feyerabend no propone un individuo libre de toda constricción colectiva. Precisamente su idea de una cultura ambigua, que los individuos pueden usar creativamente para tomar decisiones con cierto grado de libertad y haciendo uso de la improvisación, es el elemento que evidencia la articulación entre el individuo y su contexto. |

Sin embargo, Feyerabend no propone un individuo libre de toda constricción colectiva. Precisamente su idea de una cultura ambigua, que los individuos pueden usar creativamente para tomar decisiones con cierto grado de libertad y haciendo uso de la improvisación, es el elemento que evidencia la articulación entre el individuo y su contexto.ABSTARCT: The thesis defended in this article poses the subject of knowledge and culture, according to Paul Feyerabend, understood as a web of relations either between the subject and its culture, or between the subject and its scientific collectivity. This would not imply a cultural or collective determinism, since in Feyerabend‟s work individuals are presented as free and capable of changing their surrounding world, though not suggested as free from any collective compulsion.
