RESUMEN: El trabajo de investigación denominado "Guardianes de los Cerros" es un proyecto con enfoque STEAM que a través de su implementación tuvo como objetivo analizar los aprendizajes de los estudiantes del grado cuarto de primaria de una institución privada de la ciudad de Medellín frente al concepto de ecosistema. A nivel metodológico, el estudio se ubica en el paradigma cualitativo bajo el método estudio de casos (Stake, 1999) desde una perspectiva descriptiva-interpretativa (Pérez-Serrano, 1994). En este reporte de investigación se presenta el diseño general del proyecto haciendo énfasis en las relaciones entre el ABPy y el enfoque STEAM y algunos de los aprendizajes obtenidos por los estudiantes durante su tránsito por el proyecto, el cual se desarrolló durante siete semanas y en su mayoría durante alternancia escolar debido a la pandemia por COVID-19. Para el diseño del proyecto se retomaron las características esenciales para el diseño de proyectos propuestas por Larmer et al (2015) y la propuesta de Greca y Meneses (2019) para integrar el enfoque STEAM. La ejecución se realizó en tres fases: Lanzamiento, desarrollo y cierre. Los resultados sugieren una apropiación de los estudiantes sobre el concepto objeto de estudio, los cuales se evidenciaron en la creación de una cartografía y de una instalación tipo cuadrorama para la representación de los cerros y las relaciones socio-ambientales que allí se tejían. |

At the methodological level, the study is located in the qualitative paradigm under the case study method (Stake, 1998) from a descriptive-interpretative perspective (PerezSerrano, 1994). In this research report, the general design of the project is presented, emphasizing the relationships between PBL and the STEAM approach and some of the learning obtained by the students during their transit through the project, which was developed for seven weeks and in its majority during school alternation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the design of the project, the essential characteristics for the design of projects proposed by Larmer et al (2015) and the proposal by Greca & Meneses (2019) were taken up to integrate the STEAM approach. The execution was carried out in three phases: Launch, development, and closure.
