RESUMEN: La gestión contable y financiera de las Mipymes es un insumo importante que constituye la piedra angular de la planeación organizacional y facilita la continuidad de este tipo de organizaciones en el tiempo. Por esto, se desarrolló una investigación con el objetivo de caracterizar la gestión contable y financiera de las Mipymes del oriente antioqueño (Colombia); para lo cual se tomó una muestra de 379 Mipymes de dicha región y se les aplicó un cuestionario de 42 preguntas vinculadas a las prácticas, que permiten una gestión financiera y contable en las condiciones básicas esperadas, de las cuales, 18 fueron analizadas de forma descriptiva. El trabajo evidenció que, si bien las prácticas contables cumplen en gran medida la formalidad mínima, no se trasciende hacia una gestión contable-financiera que facilite la continuidad de estos negocios en el tiempo. |

El trabajo evidenció que, si bien las prácticas contables cumplen en gran medida la formalidad mínima, no se trasciende hacia una gestión contable-financiera que facilite la continuidad de estos negocios en el tiempo.ABSTRACT: The accounting and financial management in SMEs is an important input that constitutes the cornerstone of organizational planning which facilitates the continuity of this type of organizations over time. Therefore, a research was conducted with the objective of characterizing the accounting and financial management of Eastern Antioquia SMEs. In order to do so, a sample of 379 SMEs from that region was taken and a questionnaire of 42 questions was applied; the questions were related to regular financial and accounting management practices, under the expected basic conditions. From these, 18 were descriptively analyzed.
