RESUMEN: La presente monografía responde a la pregunta ¿cuáles son los sentidos de los cortes en la piel en adolescentes? Para ello, se indagó sobre el proceso de transición de la adolescencia, allí se encontró que dicho momento se caracteriza por un desequilibrio yoico generado por las condiciones internas y externas del yo y el conflicto entre el impulso regresivo y el impulso progresivo. Determinando así, que la tarea principal del adolescente consiste en retirar las catexias de: el cuerpo del niño que solía ser, los padres que tuvo en la infancia y todo el mundo infantil; con el fin de equilibrar el yo, construir vínculos sociales por fuera del grupo familiar y establecer su mismidad. Finalmente, se determinó que cuando algunos adolescentes no logran dicho equilibrio yoico, pueden llevar a cabo actuaciones que suelen confundirse con síntomas propios de patologías, es el caso de los cortes en la piel, los cuales encarnan en el cuerpo los conflictos psíquicos que no han sido resueltos y que tienen su origen en la infancia, revelan lo que no pueden simbolizar y poner en palabras, son actuaciones con una carga agresiva que van dirigidas hacia un otro pero que retornan a sí mismos, es la vía por la cual pueden establecer un vínculo social y exaltar el ideal de omnipotencia en la medida en que retan la muerte. |

To do this, we investigated the transition process of adolescence; there we found that this momento is characterized by an ego imbalance generated by the internal and external conditions of the ego and the conflict between the regressive impulse and the progressive impulse. Thus, determining that the main task of the adolescent consists in removing the cathexes from: the body of the child he used to be, the parents he had in childhood and the infant world; In order to balance the ego, build social ties outside the family group and establish his sameness. Finally, it was determined that when some adolescents do not achieve this ego balance, they can carry out actions that are often confused with symptoms typical of pathologies.
