RESUMEN: Ser judío o musulmán en el Área Metropolitana del Valle de Aburrá hace un recorrido histórico y geográfico desde Jerusalén y La Meca hasta la llegada de estas civilizaciones a la urbe antioqueña. Ésta investigación busca aclarar conceptos confusos como judío, israelí, musulmán, islámico o árabe, explicando las creencias y comportamientos que son regidos por La Torá y El Corán, además de indagar por las relaciones familiares, comunitarias y sociales en una ciudad “haram y poco kosher”. Desde una perspectiva decolonial denuncia la dominación cultural occidental que sataniza conceptos y pautas de estas religiones, hace un análisis mundial sobre las implicaciones políticas inherentes al judaísmo y al islam, y reflexiona desde Trabajo Social las “moralejas” de estas civilizaciones y sus miembros, aportando contenidos para un dialogo intercultural, reivindicando lo raro o exótico dentro del discurso alternativo de re-existencia, reconociendo y reformando imaginarios colectivos a partir de las versiones de lo humano y lo social de musulmanes del Centro Cultural Islámico en Belén, la Mezquita As Salam en Guayabal, y judíos de la Comunidad Derej Torah en Prado Centro, la Comunidad Judía Bet Simjá de Calasanz, la Comunidad de Bello, y el Centro Comunitario Judío en el Poblado o Jewish Community Center. |

This research seeks to clarify confusing concepts such as Jewish, Israeli, Muslim, Islamic or Arab, explaining the beliefs and behaviors that are governed by La Torah and The Koran, in addition to inquiring about family, community and social relations in a city “haram and little kosher.
