RESUMEN: Durante las últimas décadas, múltiples investigaciones han puesto de manifiesto el marcado interés que ahora posee la comunidad científica por estudiar las demencias, en especial sus estadios o síntomas iniciales con el fin de crear planes y tratamientos mucho más eficaces. Entre los temas más investigados se encuentran la aparición de quejas subjetivas de memoria, que en muchas ocasiones desembocan en demencias, comúnmente en población adulto mayor (edad > 65 años), pero también han ocurrido casos en adultos jóvenes (<40 años). Esta revisión sistemática pretende explorar el panorama en cuanto a investigaciones sobre quejas subjetivas en adultos jóvenes, analizando variables sociodemográficas y contrastando entre ellas, en especial la edad, los años de escolarización y el sexo. Para ello, se han realizado diferentes búsquedas sistemáticas en base de datos avaladas por la comunidad médica, como PubMed, siguiendo premisas del protocolo PRISMA y criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Actualmente los resultados arrojan un panorama desconsolador. Son poco los estudios que tienen como centro estás variables y aquellos que si lo hacen informan que el efecto en la muestra es despreciable e ínfimo. Las variables comportamentales y emocionales intervienen de manera más directa, mientras que las variables sociodemográficas, intervienen indirectamente y en poca proporción, sin embargo, en rasgos predominantes y marcados puede influir más directamente, pero se tiene que evaluar igualmente con variables emocionales y comportamentales. |

The most studied topics include subjective memory complaints, often leading to dementias, mainly in older adults (older than 65 years), although cases in young adults (younger than 40 years) have also been reported. This systematic review aims to explore the scenario of studies on subjective complaints in young adults by analyzing sociodemographic variables and comparing them to each other, mainly age, schooling years, and sex. To this end, we have conducted different systematic searches in databases endorsed by the medical community, such as PubMed, and we have followed the PRISMA protocol checklist and inclusion and exclusion criteria. So far, the results show a pessimistic scenario. Few studies focus on these variables and those that do it report that the effect in the sample is insignificant and negligible.
