Consecuentemente con esta pregunta de investigación, se plantea como objetivo general: analizar el proceso de implementación del Modelo Estándar de Control Interno (MECI) en el Hospital San Rafael de Itagüí durante el año 2022. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, el trabajo tiene una postura epistemológica mixta y, en este sentido, combina elementos de los enfoques cualitativo y cuantitativo, el diseño corresponde con un estudio de caso descriptivo que busca comprender el proceso de implementación del MECI en el caso de la ESE San Rafael de Itagüí y las características singulares de este proceso en la entidad. En virtud de este planteamiento, se obtienen como resultados principales que: la entidad debe profundizar la integración de sus unidades administrativas con el objetivo de consolidar una cultura del control que facilite la implementación de MECI a través de los esfuerzos de todos sus colaboradores y, en función de estos resultados, se formulan conclusiones y recomendaciones que buscan aportar a la sostenibilidad de la entidad. |

Consequently with this research question, the general objective is: to analyze the implementation process of the Internal Control Standard Model (MECI) in the San Rafael de Itagüí Hospital during the year 2022. From the methodological point of view, the work has a mixed epistemological position and, in this sense, combines elements of qualitative and quantitative approaches, the design corresponds to a descriptive case study that seeks to understand the implementation process of the MECI in the case of the ESE San Rafael de Itagüí and the unique characteristics of this process in the entity.
