Se realizó una comparación cuantitativa de los tipos de errores cometidos por 12 candidatas y 13 candidatos de las convocatorias 2013-2 y 2014-2, en la direccionalidad inglés-español. Los hallazgos indican un mejor desempeño del género femenino, considerando la cantidad, tipo y gravedad de los errores. Estos resultados enriquecen el debate sobre la figura del Traductor e Intérprete Oficial (TIO) en Colombia y contribuyen a la mejora estructural del ETIO.

A quantitative comparison of the types of errors made by 12 female and 13 male candidates from the 2013-2 and 2014-2 sessions was conducted in the English-Spanish directionality. The findings indicate better performance by the female gender, considering the quantity, type, and severity of errors.
