RESUMEN : La propuesta se enfocó en implementar un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para los herramentales en UMO S.A. con el fin de aumentar la disponibilidad y reducir los tiempos de inactividad por mantenimientos correctivos no planificados. Se empleo una metodología que incluyo la programación diaria de actividades de mantenimiento mediante una hoja de cálculo Excel, la creación de alertas para mantenimientos preventivos basadas en la planeación mensual de producción y el número de golpes realizados por los troqueles, calculando el tiempo de operación antes de entrar a mantenimiento preventivo; la elaboración de checklists específicos para cada tipo de troquel, la compilación de una base de datos de troqueles y el análisis de datos históricos mediante gráficas de Pareto para identificar los troqueles más críticos, sus causas de falla y la tasa de servicio. La implementación de este plan obtuvo un impacto significativo en la eficiencia operativa, la calidad del producto y la disponibilidad de los herramentales. Reduciendo los mantenimientos correctivos no planificados, aumentando los mantenimientos preventivos y a su vez se aumentó la tasa de servicio. |

Reduciendo los mantenimientos correctivos no planificados, aumentando los mantenimientos preventivos y a su vez se aumentó la tasa de servicio.ABSTRACT : The proposal focused on implementing a preventive maintenance plan for the dies at UMO S.A. in order to increase availability and reduce downtime due to unplanned corrective maintenance. A methodology was used that included the daily scheduling of maintenance activities through an Excel spreadsheet, the creation of alerts for preventive maintenance based on the monthly production planning and the number of strokes performed by the dies calculating the operation time before entering preventive maintenance; the development of specific checklists for each die, the compilation of a die database and the analysis of historical data through Pareto charts to identify the most critical dies, their failure causes and service rate. The implementation of this plan had a significant impact on operational efficiency, product quality and tooling availability.
