CASO CLÍNICO: Paciente femenina de 30 años de edad sin antecedentes personales de importancia que consultó a nuestro servicio por una lesión tumoral de 9 años de evolución, localizada en el labio mayor derecho, que recidivó tras escisión quirúrgica convencional. Por medio del estudio de patología e inmunohistoquímica se confirmó el diagnóstico de dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans vulvar, una afección infrecuente en una localización poco reportada en la bibliografía. CONCLUSIONES: El dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans es un cáncer de piel tipo sar- coma, de baja frecuencia, que afecta la dermis y el tejido celular subcutáneo. Por lo general afecta a personas de la tercera a cuarta década de la vida y es más común en las extremidades y el tronco. Es un tumor de crecimiento lento y baja recurrencia, que rara vez se disemina más allá de la piel. La localización vulvar es poco frecuente, hasta la fecha hay menos de 60 casos reportados en la bibliografía. El diagnóstico definitivo se establece con el estudio histopatológico y entre las opciones terapéuticas existen alternativas quirúrgicas y terapias sistémicas. |

CLINICAL CASE: A 30-year-old female patient with no significant personal history who consulted our department for a 9-year-old tumor lesion, located in the right labia majora, which recurred after conventional surgical excision. By means of a pathology and immunohistochemical study, the diagnosis of vulvar dermatofibrosar- coma protuberans was confirmed, an infrequent entity in a location little reported in the literature. CONCLUSIONS: Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is a low-frequency sarcoma-type skin cancer that involves dermis and subcutaneous cellular tissue. It usually affects people in the third to fourth decade of life, and it is more common in the extremities and trunk. It is a slow-growing, low-recurrence tumor that rarely spreads beyond the skin. The vulvar location is rare, occurring in less than 60 cases reported to date in the literature.
