description ABSTRACT: This research project explores the integration of comic writing as a component in seventh grade. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the impact of incorporating comic writing tasks on student engagement and English language communication skills. The participants in this action research project are 35 seventh-grade students from CentroFormativo de Antioquia. By incorporating the creative and visual medium of comic writing, this study aims to create a more dynamic and interactive learning experience for students. The utilization of comics as a writing tool provides a unique platform for students to express themselves while developing their linguistic and writing practices. The research project will employ qualitative research methods, including observations, interviews, and analysis of student work, to examine the effects of comic writing tasks on student motivation, engagement, and language development.
