RESUMEN: Este artículo se propone analizar la participación social que se presenta en el Municipio de Jericó en Antioquia - Colombia en materia de minería. Las comunidades sienten que las actividades de exploración y extracción minera deben ser debatidas por ellos porque serán implementadas en sus territorios, y porque están presentes aspectos sensibles como la destinación, la vocación y las costumbres. Es por esto por lo que se deben crear espacios de participación social en los que los sujetos se reconozcan como actores activos que se pueden articular en el proceso de solicitud de proyectos de tipo minero y, así, contar con los instrumentos jurídicos-legales que les permita incidir en las decisiones sobre su territorio. |
