RESUMEN: La Revolución Francesa (1789) ha despertado desde sus impresionantes acontecimientos, las más diversas reacciones y las más inimaginadas formas de interpretarlos. El "problema social" durante las primeras décadas del siglo XIX, que aflora en parte como consecuencia de esta "aurora del mundo" contemporáneo, determinó una nueva manera de contemplar este acontecimiento histórico universal. Tres personalidades intelectuales de primer rango. Lorenz von Stein, Karl Marx y Alexis de Tocqueville, procedentes de tres mundos político-sociales y académicos diversos, se enfrentan a evaluar el significado de la Revolución Francesa a la luz de los convulsos acontecimientos de su siglo. Sus penetrantes miradas no sólo enfatizan en la actualidad imborrable de los acontecimientos derivados del 89 hasta Napoleón, sino que descubren un horizonte social para la historia de cuño decisivo. La historia deja de ser una historia de acontecimientos, de datos o fechas, en el sentido tradicional de crónica, e incluso la historia deja de contemplarse como un asunto racional en la tradición ilustrada. La Revolución Francesa, gracias a estos tres autores, supera su circunstancialidad épocal y se eleva a una categoría de estructura de sentido inmanente. En otros términos, a diferencia de su contemporáneo Leopold von Ranke, von Stein, Marx y Tocqueville construyen un nuevo sentido de la historia, particularmente de las raíces incuestionables del mundo contemporáneo. |

During the early decades of the XIX century, the social problem, which flourished partly as a consequence of this "aurora of the world" determined a new way to contemplate this historical-universal event. Three top-ranking intellectual personalities. Lorenz von Stein Karl Marx and Alexis de Tocqueville, who came from three different poiitieal-social and academic worlds, faced evaluating the significance of the French Revolution from the light of the convulse events of their century Their peering looks not only emphasize the inerasabte prevalence of the events that derived from 89 to Napoleon, but also, discover a social horizon for history as a decisive mark. History stops being a history of events, data or dates, in the traditional sense of a chronicle, and even history is not contemplated any longer as a rational matter in illustrated tradition. The French Revolution, thanks to these three authors, overcomes its circumstantiality in time and it rises to the category of an immanent-sense structure. In other words von Stem.
