RESUMEN: el documental intercultural, a diferencia del cine etnográfico, es una estrategia de cambio sociocultural. En el caso colombiano, las piezas interculturales están además articuladas a procesos organizacionales de índole política y cultural que no solo las respaldan, sino que son su razón de ser. En este sentido, el núcleo más fuerte de nuestra investigación es el entendimiento de este tipo de documental como piezas de conocimiento y como intervenciones en el nivel de la epistemología política. A través de herramientas teóricas como la interculturalidad crítica de Fornet-Betancourt y Walsh y de herramientas metodológicas como la evaluación del impacto centrado en el tema de Whiteman, hemos comenzado a comprender formas de organización del audiovisual intercultural como cuerpo de conocimiento, pero también como estrategia política. En ambos sentidos, el documental intercultural se usa como manera de generar alianzas, de conocer y comprender otras visiones del mundo, de tener una educación crítica y de emprender estrategias de globalización contrahegemónica. |

En ambos sentidos, el documental intercultural se usa como manera de generar alianzas, de conocer y comprender otras visiones del mundo, de tener una educación crítica y de emprender estrategias de globalización contrahegemónica.ABSTRACT: unlike ethnographic film, intercultural documentary is a strategy of socio-cultural change. In Colombia, intercultural pieces are articulated to organizational processes of political and cultural nature that not only support them, but are also their reason for being. In this sense, the strongest core of our research is the understanding of this kind of documentary as pieces of knowledge and as interventions at the level of political epistemology. Through theoretical tools as critical interculturality by Fornet-Betancourt and Walsh and methodological tools such as the issue-centered model for impact assessment by Whiteman, we have begun to understand ways of organizing intercultural audiovisual as a body of knowledge, but also as a political strategy.
