Dicha investigación tuvo como principal objetivo identificar la percepción de niños y niñas de 9 a 13 años que participan de las actividades de promoción de lectura que realiza el Centro de Lectura Villa Guadalupe perteneciente a la Fundación Ratón de biblioteca, ubicada en la comuna 1 de Medellín. Todo esto con el fin de describir y conocer la participación y percepción que tienen del centro de lectura, por esto, se realizó revisión documental, entrevistas y encuestas, dando cuenta de la importancia de espacios como la biblioteca, dado que resulta esencial para democratizar el acceso al conocimiento, fomentar la educación, preservar la cultura, promover la inclusión y fortalecer el tejido social, entre otros aspectos clave para el desarrollo integral de las personas y las comunidades; además, se realizaron algunas sugerencias a la Fundación Ratón de Biblioteca, esto debido a la importancia de crear nuevas estrategias que permitan fomentar el interés por la lectura y llegar a más población. |

The main objective of this research was to identify the perception of boys and girls from 9 to 13 years old who participate in the reading promotion activities carried out by the Villa Guadalupe Reading Center, which belongs to the Ratón de Biblioteca Foundation, located in Medellín's Commune 1.
