Las diversas investigaciones realizadas al interior del grupo denotan un aporte académico a la enseñanza de la geografía en el contexto de las ciencias sociales que permite desde la discusión conceptual y propositiva su enseñanza renovada en la escuela, así como abrir espacios de debate en torno a la geografía como ciencia social interdisciplinar. Las estrategias metodológicas de estudio, la difusión de los resultados de las investigaciones producidas sobre las dinámicas propias de la enseñanza de la geografía devela nuevos retos para pensar la enseñanza de lo social en perspectiva espacial, razones que validan y propician su existencia como espacio de formación. |

It aims to understand socio-spatial realities as a fundamental basis for teaching and learning geography. Research inside the group provides an academic contribution to the teaching of geography in the context of social sciences that allows, from a conceptual and proactive discussion, its renewed teaching in school and it opens spaces for debate around to geography as an interdisciplinary social science.
