RESUMEN: Nuestro proyecto de investigación se realiza con el fin de caracterizar algunas habilidades y destrezas de las artes plásticas que se vienen proponiendo dentro de las guías de lenguaje del Modelo Escuela Nueva, identificando cuáles técnicas de las artes plásticas se emplean y que tanto aportan en el proceso de aprendizaje de la lectoescritura en los estudiantes, y así plantar las bases para futuras propuestas pedagógicas que permitan mejorar, no solamente la lectoescritura, sino fortalecer habilidades comunicativas más significativas en los niños y las niñas a través de medios artísticos que desarrollen la creatividad, el disfrute y el goce. La investigación cualitativa con el enfoque de etnografía escolar fue la que nos permitió la interpretación de la información por medio de las entrevistas a docentes y la revisión documental realizada a las guías de lenguaje de Escuela Nueva. Mediante los resultados encontrados se evidencia que las artes aportan habilidades importantes para el fortalecimiento de la lectoescritura, además nos ayudan a mejorar la expresión de sentimientos, emociones, la relación consigo mismo y con los demás. La investigación ayuda a los docentes al mejoramiento de las prácticas educativas frente a las artes plásticas como herramienta para lograr que los estudiantes cambien la perspectiva frente a la lectoescritura y de esta manera lograr una motivación para un aprendizaje significativo y eficaz. |

Qualitative research with the school ethnography approach was what allowed us to interpret the information through interviews with teachers and the documentary review carried out on the language guides of Escuela Nueva. Through the results found, it is evident that the arts provide important skills for strengthening literacy, they also help us to improve the expression of feelings, emotions, the relationship with oneself and with others.
