Resultados: se incluyeron 81 pacientes, que fueron operados por doble sistema colector y contaban con imágenes diagnósticas prequirúrgicas. El 63% fueron niñas. La mediana de edad al operar fue de 3 años. La uroresonancia funcional fue la imagen con mayor sensibilidad, coincidiendo con los hallazgos operatorios en el 100% de los pacientes que contaron con tal modalidad de imagen. En cirugía se encontró un sistema colector completo en el 69% de los pacientes, incompleto en el 30,8% y bilateral en el 13%; dilatación del tracto urinario en el 38,2%, ureterocele en el 25,9%, inserción ectópica del uréter en el 20,9% y obstrucción ureteral en 13,5%. Conclusiones: El diagnóstico de doble sistema colector se asocia frecuentemente a infecciones urinarias a repetición. La prueba más usada en el cribado inicial fue la ecografía renal. La cistouretrografía y la resonancia magnética demostraron la mayor aproximación diagnóstica anatómica como funcional. El doble sistema colector se encuentra asociado a otras anomalías del tracto urinario, las más frecuentes son la dilatación del tracto urinario, el reflujo vesicoureteral y el ureterocele. |

Materials and Methods: descriptive study of data from retrospective search for clinical records and diagnostic imaging of patients under 15 years old who underwent surgery for the treatment of double collecting system in the pediatric surgery department at Hospital San Vicente Fundación between 2012 and 2022. Results: Eighty-one patients who had preoperative diagnostic imaging and were operated on for a double collecting system were included. Sixty-three percent were female. The median age at surgery was 3 years. Functional uroresonance was the imaging modality with the highest sensitivity, correlating with the intraoperative finding of a double collecting system in 100% of the patients who underwent the image study. In surgery, a complete collecting system was found in 69% of the patients, incomplete in 30,8%, bilateral in 13%; urinary tract dilation in 38,2%, ureterocele in 25,9%, ectopic ureter insertion in 20,9%, and ureteral obstruction in 13.5% of the cases. Conclusions: The diagnosis of a double collecting system is frequently associated with recurrent urinary infections. The initial test generally used was renal ultrasound. Voiding cystourethrography and UroMR showed better anatomical and functional diagnostic approximation.
