RESUMEN: La presente investigación se enmarca en la práctica pedagógica de la Licenciatura en Educación Infantil de la Universidad de Antioquia. El propósito del estudio fue comprender los significados que le otorgan seis madres comunitarias a su experiencia en el Programa Familia Mujer e infancia (FAMI) del municipio de Puerto Libertador, Córdoba. La investigación se sitúa en el paradigma cualitativo desde el enfoque fenomenológico; se recurrió a la entrevista semiestructurada como instrumento de recolección de información. El proceso de análisis de datos desveló cuatro categorías con sus respectivas tendencias sobre las que se interpretaron los resultados, entre ellas, contexto sociocultural y personal desde el cual se eligió ser Madre FAMI; su sentir, saber y actuar; educación inicial vista por las Madres FAMI y su apreciación del Programa. Los hallazgos reflejan una transformación en la percepción del ejercicio laboral de las propias madres, desde el compromiso estrictamente laboral hasta el establecimiento de vínculos afectivos con los niños y niñas beneficiarios del programa, lo que ha contribuido a resignificar sus modos de subjetivación y autorreconocimiento como agentes transformadoras sociales. A pesar de que el Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar [ICBF], corporación encargada del Programa, realiza esfuerzos de capacitación en la primera infancia, se percibe que las madres aún tienen vacíos conceptuales y metodológicos en las respecto a la atención de este tipo de población, de la misma manera que desconocen la política pública que rige el Programa. Aun cuando ellas demandan mayor apoyo gubernamental, reconocen los esfuerzos de la corporación por la cualificación constante de su quehacer y su respuesta frente a las condiciones sociales de las madres, familias e infantes de Puerto Libertador. |

The purpose of the study was to understand the meanings that six community mothers give to their experience in the Family Women and Childhood Program (FAMI) of the municipality of Puerto Libertador, Córdoba. The research is situated in the qualitative paradigm from the phenomenological approach; The semi-structured interview was used as an instrument for collecting information. The data analysis process revealed four categories with their respective trends on which the results were interpreted, among them, sociocultural and personal context from which it was chosen to be a FAMI Mother; your feeling, knowing and acting; initial education seen by FAMI Mothers and their appreciation of the Program.
