RESUMEN: El presente ejercicio investigativo procura insertarse en los debates sobre ciencia ficción y lo que recientemente se ha denominado el new weird latinoamericano. Mi interés investigativo está centrado específicamente en el campo de la literatura: busco comprender de qué manera estas expresiones artísticas se producen, circulan y se consumen en nuestros contextos regionales; comprender cuáles son sus supuestos teóricos y su pertinencia sociopolítica. En este sentido y desde un enfoque antropológico, en adelante decido enfocarme tanto en las apuestas representaciones ofrecidas por el género y sus autores, como en el plano de la producción del libro, aunque será sobre el segundo plano donde esta indagación más se demore, es decir, se realizará un mayor énfasis sobre los proyectos editoriales dinamizadores del campo. En síntesis, trataré de presentar de qué manera los discursos que gravitan en torno al género redoblan sobre las disposiciones culturales de los proyectos editoriales y sus editores, al mismo tiempo que sobre los universos ficcionales construidos por algunos autores representativos de la región. |

My research interest is specifically focused on the field of literature: I seek to understand how these artistic expressions are produced, circulated and consumed in our regional contexts; to understand what are their theoretical assumptions and their socio-political relevance. In this sense, and from an anthropological approach, I decide to focus on the representational stakes offered by the genre and its authors, as well as on the book production level, although it will be on the second level where this inquiry will be more delayed, that is to say, a greater emphasis will be placed on the publishing projects that energize the field.
