La asignaci´on de las cargas horizontales es tal que a nivel ´arbol solamente la tercera familia es masiva. Usando las masas a nivel ´arbol e introduciendo escalares ex´oticos, los quarks de las familias ligeras adquieren masas jer´arquicas a trav´es de correcciones radiativas. Las matrices de rango tres que se obtiene se expresan en t´erminos de un conjunto m´ınimo de par´ametros del modelo, cuyos valores se estiman realizando un ajuste num´erico. Las masas de los quarks y los ´angulos de mezcla obtenidos est´an en acuerdo con los valores experimentales.

The assignment of horizontal charges is such that at tree level only the third family is massive. Using these tree level masses and introducing exotic scalars, the light families ofquarks acquire hierarchical masses through radiative corrections. The rank three quark mass matrices obtained are written in terms of a minimal set of free parameters of the model, whose values are estimated performing a numerical fit.
